AKC S.T.A.R Puppy
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy is an exciting program designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start. AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy is an excellent first in-person training class for puppies. AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy provides a good lead-in to earning the Canine Good Citizen title.
Basic Obedience
Teach your dog essential commands such as sit, stay, and come during our basic obedience training program. Build a strong foundation for good behavior, and prep for the AKC Virtual Home Manners Test!
Advanced Obedience
Take your dog's skills to the next level with off-leash training, tricks, and advanced cues. Challenge your dog's mind and enhance their capabilities with our AKC Canine Good Citizen prep program! This program includes 1 free CGC Evaluation at the end of the program!
AKC CGCA Prep
The AKC Community Canine program is all about ensuring you have a well-behaved dog while you’re out and about in the community. Tranquil Tails is happy to announce our 8 week prep course! This program includes 1 free CGCA Evaluation at the end of the program!
AKC CGCU Prep
Another step beyond the basic CGC test is the AKC Urban CGC title, which tests your CGC skills in an active city or town setting. Tranquil Tails is excited to announce our 8 week prep course! This program includes 1 free CGCU Evaluation at the end of the program!
AKC Scentwork
The sport of Scent Work celebrates the joy of sniffing, and asks a dog to sniff to their heart’s content; turning your dog’s favorite activity into a rewarding game. It is a terrific sport for all kinds of dogs, and is a wonderful way to build confidence in a shy dog. Tranquil Tails provides a prep program, preparing your dog for AKC Scentwork!
Paw-Core
Dog parkour combines elements of human parkour and dog agility to create an accessible activity for dogs and humans alike. Dogs get introduced to the world of jumping, climbing, balancing over, crawling under, and going around different obstacles in their everyday world.
AKC Trick Dog
Tricks are behaviors that are designed to entertain others. AKC Trick Dog ranges from very simple novice tricks such as teaching your dog to get in a box on cue, to complex tricks that are several behaviors chained together in one exciting sequence.
Service Dog Program
Tranquil Tails Training Academy is proud to help you train your dog to help mitigate your disabilty! We have extensive knowledge about working dogs, especially service dogs. We are known for our medical alert and psychiatric service dogs, but have trained mobility support, hearing alert, and guide dogs as well!
Therapy Dog Program
Do you dream of letting your dog help those in need? This is the program for you! Tranquil Tails Training Academy has produced therapy dogs who have gone on to help in facilities such as; Hospice, Children's Hospitals, Schools, Health Clinics, and so much more!
TRailing Dog Program
Want to help others during emerganies such as; a missing person, or a hurricane? Tranquil Tails Training Academy has produced a multitude of search and rescue dogs who have saved lives in the field! We most recently had 4 teams in the field after hurricane helene.
